I told you guys about this when Derek Webb first announced it months ago.

Well, the site’s finally up.

NoiseTrade is a site where artists are pretty much giving away their albums.

There are currently 13 albums available on the site.

I’m sure this will continue to go up.

All you have to do is either tell 3 friends about NoiseTrade,
or pay whatever you’d like to for the album.

I’m pretty sure this idea came about after Derek started giving away Mockingbird for free.

From what I’ve heard, the response was overwhelming and he made up for what he lost in music sales by selling more tickets to shows because of the new fans he gained by giving away his music for free.

Sounds like a good plan to me, and I’m glad some others are jumping on board.

If you like good/free music, check it out.

p.s. i just downloaded three albums. matthew perryman jones and katie herzig i’d heard of and i like. i also got a new guy who sounds pretty sweet named william f. gibbs. so… it works. i also got a years subscription to paste through the site. i paid 1 dollar. i know that sounds cheap, but… a. i wouldn’t have purchased it otherwise. b. the whole reason paste is doing this is to boost their numbers. magazines don’t make their money through subscriptions, they make it through ad sales, and the more people subscribed, the more they can charge for ads. so… i don’t feel bad.

Ok, that’s not really true. I could do without most James Bond movies.

The only ones I really care for are Goldeneye and Casino Royale.

I do love Daniel Craig as James Bond.

There’s just something more human about him than the others.

That being said, the trailer for the new James Bond movie is out.

It is called Quantum of Solace. I don’t know what that means.

Derek sent me this video of one of the stunt guys filming for Live and Let Die.

It’s pretty crazy that he was actually doing this and it wasn’t some camera trickery or CGI.

How they got those crocodiles to keep lining up like that is my question.

That is all.

Did I mention that MuteMath is working on their new album?

Yeah, I thought so.

This is a funny video anyway:

my favorite parts:

“don’t show my feet.”

“…middle-sized dance floor, it’d do real well.”

c.

1: The “weak link in the chain.” That’s what he called me.
2: Well, you are rather pathetic.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Hilarious! Seriously, funniest movie I’ve seen in a long time. It’s definitely got some stuff in it that’s not for everyone, but it’s not near as raunchy as 40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad, etc. And it’s way, way, way better. I can’t wait to see this one again.

One Missed Call

Pulp Fiction

Believe it or not, I’d never seen this movie in it’s entirety until this week. I’d always seen pieces, and never really cared that much for what I saw. Now I get it. As a whole, the movie is great. There are still parts I could do without, and Tarentino’s dialog really gets on my nerves sometimes, but as a whole this is an excellent movie. I’m glad I finally gave it a chance.

The Hammer

We watched this movie because I’d read a lot of reviews that said it was really good, and I just couldn’t believe it. While it wasn’t a bad movie (and was much better than I originally expected), it wasn’t quite as good as the reviews made it out to be. It was mainly a good boxing story with Adam Carolla doing stand-up throughout. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the language, this would be a pretty good family movie. It was sweet, and sappy, and funny, and uplifting, but all in that sort of Family Channel way. This movie isn’t a complete waste of time, but I think it’d be pretty easy to find something better to spend your time watching.

Again, I realize I’m way behind the times. This album was released last summer, but I’m just recently getting around to giving it a good listen. And I’m really impressed. I’ve always liked Spoon’s music, but I’ve never been a super huge fan. I believe this is the first album I’ve actually owned, always having random tracks of past albums. I’m guessing that all the Spoon fans out there have already heard this album, but if you aren’t a Spoon fan, or haven’t ever listened to Spoon, I’d recommend giving them a try with this album. It just seems a lot more mature to me than the other stuff I’ve heard. Musically and lyrically. I’m not good at this album review stuff, so I’ll just say that I really like this album and think it’s worth giving a listen. I think you’ll be impressed, too.

Watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. For real.

c.

I’ve been talking about cornhole a lot lately.

We’ve been playing it on the front lawn during our lunch breaks for the past few weeks.

It’s awesome.

BUT… some of you don’t know what it is.

This song will answer all of your questions:

c.

1: There goes a thousand dollars.
2: Your shoes cost a thousand dollars?
1: That one did.

Again, I haven’t watched a movie this week.
I’ve been too busy watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Every night…

In case you’re interested, here are a few more trailers for some movies I’m interested in seeing:

Eagle Eye

This movie looks good to me, but even if it didn’t, Sheena would make me see it anyway because it has Shia LaBeouf in it.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

I love David Fincher. He’s probably my favorite director. I’d see this whether it looked good or not. And, I’m sorry, but I like Brad Pitt.

The X-Files: I Want To Believe

I was never a super huge X-Files fan, although I always thought it was interesting. I did really liked the first movie, though, so I’m excited about this one.
