This was a pretty dang good movie. The acting was superb and the plot was intriguing. The fact that it is based on a true story is amazing. I won’t give anything away, but it’s crazy how clueless we are to what goes on with our government. And that’s probably a good thing. I’d recommend seeing this movie. It was interesting, suspenseful and fun to watch.

Reign Over Me

This movie was in no way bad, but I just went in expecting so much more. The story itself was interesting, and the acting was, for the most part, excellent, but there seemed to be too much quirkiness, or something. There were a lot of humorous (sometimes hilarious) parts of this film. Most of them just didn’t work, though. They were just too obvious, too predictable. Borderline cheesy. Actually, sometimes just plain cheesy. There was a whole lot going on in this movie; maybe too much for one movie. With deaths, and families, and friends. I think they tried to pack too much emotion into one movie, and it ended up not really capturing you at all. Because there was so much going on, this movie felt forever long. About three fourths of the way through, we all (we went with the Reid and Ashley) started squirming in our seats and wondering when it was going to end (it seemed like it was ending a few different times). All in all, not the movie I was hoping to see, but still worth a viewing.

I just read that the lead character, Charlie, was written for Tom Cruise.
That would have been a TERRIBLE movie.
