I recommend one year anniversaries…or at least the The Great Smoky Mountains.
As most of you know Casey and I celebrated our one year anniversary on the 17th.
We stayed in a cute cabin in Townsend, TN. It took about 5 hours to get there (not including the hour detour to Starbucks and Old Navy). We arrived at our cabin around 2pm, unloaded the car, ate lunch, and took some pictures of our place for the weekend.

After all that we decided to go to the Tuckaleechee Caverns. All caverns look the same…but they are still neat.

the big room…those stalactites are like 300ft away and that little one is almost 7ft tall…it was a big room!

drinking 98.9% pure cavern water!

We got some homemade apple butter and some oreo fudge from the gift shop…YUM. After the caverns we just kinda explored the town and went back to the cabin and cooked some dinner. After dinner we got in the hot tub and relaxed. It was nice.

good times!

Saturday morning we got up early and went horseback riding. I really enjoyed it. I love riding horses and it made we want a horse really bad. Casey rode a horse named Indigo and I rode one named Gypsy. You can’t really tell from the picture but my horse was huge. We were supposed to keep our horses from eating grass and leaves. Yeah right. My horses neck was stronger than my whole body. If she wanted to eat some leaves she was going to eat some leaves. We galloped a few times on the horses. Any one that has galloped on a horse knows this is the least fun thing to do on a horse. It hurt so bad.

Next we drove the Cades Cove Loop Road Auto Tour. It was so beautiful. I’ll let the pictures do the talking on this one.

we saw a wild bear!

After that we drove to Gatlinburg. It was my first time there and it was fun. I had no idea how touristy it was. We walked around for like 5 hours looking in all the shops. I especially enjoyed the candy shops. We played putt-putt and did a mirror maze. Putt-putt was funny and the mirror maze was crazy! It really messed with our minds. If you ever get a chance to do one…do it! Then we ate dinner. It was a great day.

the ring master!

Im not sure

whoa!

sad.

so handsome!

Gatlinburg!

Sunday we checked out and headed home. The most exciting thing that happened on the drive was the bird that flew into our car to hang with us for a while. His name was Bert.
