This looks quite interesting/humorous.

Peter Jackson’s new film looks like a winner:

King of Kong

I seriously loved this movie. And I feel weird saying that. It’s about video games. Classic video games. Donkey Kong.. But I really got into it. I found myself routing for the underdog and hating the hero whom everyone praised. I think Billy Mitchell is one of the great villains in film. He was so evil and manipulative without ever seeming like a bad guy. And Steve Wiebe was the exact opposite. He just wanted credit where credit was due, but didn’t want to ruffle any feathers. I don’t want to give anything away in case you see this, but it’s such a great film, and you should check it out. It’s exciting and unnerving and happy and sad. And, again, it’s about Donkey Kong. Who knew?

Star Trek

For real, this is probably my favorite movie of the year so far. It was just plain good. I’m clueless when it comes to Star Trek history. I’ve never seen another movie. I’ve never seen the show. So I can’t say anything about this film as it pertains to the entire story, but as a stand-alone, it was excellent. The story itself was very interesting and unique. There were sad parts, and happy parts, and hilarious parts, and action-packed parts. It was just all-around good. I’d recommend this to pretty much everyone. It’s a blast.

Public Enemies

I enjoyed this movie for the most part. I think my only quarrel is with the length. It was just too long. There were great action-packed scenes, and there were equally very slow scenes. Not that slow scenes are always bad, and usually these weren’t, but they were too long to be so slow. It just seemed like there were a lot of parts that could’ve been shaved down a bit to make the over-all length of the film quite a bit shorter. The acting by everyone in the film was excellent. And the story was very interesting. I’m looking forward to doing some research on John Dillinger to see how close the movie stays to real events. All-in-all, an entertaining film.

The Hurt Locker

I wasn’t 100% into seeing this movie, other than for the fact that it got a lot of really good reviews. I will say that some of the reviews might be a little over-the-top, but I did enjoy this film. It’s got times of suspense, times of sadness, times of confusion, times of quiet. I was never bored, and was always a little nervous about what would happen next. I really liked that most of the people in the movie were little-known names. And the “big names” had small parts. It made it easier to not be taken out of the story. I’m still not sure how I feel about the ending. It makes sense, and it actually works really well, it just felt a bit rushed. All-in-all a good movie and worth checking out.

I’m getting pumped for the final season of Lost, even though it’s still a few months away. Last night we were hanging with some friends, and they showed me this video. I think it’s perfect for people who are a bit confused about what’s going on with the show right now. It’s a great recap and can get you caught up if you have missed some stuff. Enjoy.

i know i said i was dumping the schedule.
this just happened to fall on tuesday…

so, i’ve been slacking on the blog as of late…

i think it’s because i’ve just run out of steam when trying to keep up with the schedule i made for myself a while back.

at the time, it worked wonders because it had me posting something every weekday during a time when i was never posting.

now the opposite is happening. if i don’t have anything to post that fits the schedule, i don’t post.

so, that whole experiment is overwith now.

back to posting randomness at random times.
possibly even multiple times a day.
WHAT?

i’m sure i’ll still post a lot of silly youtubeness, and maybe even still do the occational mmqm if anyone wants to play along.

so that’s where i am.
